Final two pandemic-delayed BTO projects completed: HDB

According to HDB, the completion of Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) marks the conclusion of all condos in the Punggol Point District. This includes Punggol Point Cove (Stage 1), Punggol Point Woods and Punggol Point Crown BTO ventures, which were finished in 2024.

As at Jan 15, 37 households or about 7% of 555 reserved units have gotten their keys.

Apartment proprietors of Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) have actually been getting the keys to their new house ever since November 2024, whilst key collection for Kempas Residence started in mid-January this year.

At present, 110 HDB home jobs are under construction, up from 95 a year ago due to the increase in BTO supply in recent years. HDB says it is on track to complete around 17,000 flats across 27 projects in 2025.

Both Build-to-Order (BTO) jobs, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, note the completion of HDB’s pandemic-delayed real estate projects. As a whole, the 92 projects have delivered over 75,800 brand-new apartments to Singaporeans over the last five years.

Placed along New Punggol Road, Punggol Point Cove (Stage 2) makes up 1,179 units of two-room flexi, three-, four- and five-room apartments throughout six residential blocks. Following pandemic problems, the work’s last block was finished one year from its original Probable Completion Date (PCD) earlier this month.

River Green floor plan

In 2024, HDB finished a total of 22 housing properties, 17 of which were put off by the pandemic. With the exception of one that was postponed as a result of non-pandemic causes, the standing 4 home plans were finished on schedule.

The standing ventures had waiting times of as much as 5 years. In general, over 18,000 apartments were finished in 2024, says HDB.

HDB is anticipated to alert the waiting flat proprietors of their key collection date shortly, following the completion of the last blocks among both ventures this month.

The 22 home projects featured two Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) projects, that were completed within a waiting duration of less than three years. The SWT plans, Parc Glen at Tengah and Grove Spring at Yishun, made up a total amount of 1,995 apartments.

Located between Serangoon Road, Lavender Street and Boon Kheng Road, Kempas Residences BTO project has 583 units of two-room flexi, three-, four-room flats throughout four residential blocks.

The final block, that was postponed by six months from its initial PCD, was accomplished in mid-January.
