The hotel is going to be a two-minute walk from Shijo Stop on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line and Karasuma Terminal on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. This will allow guests practical transport accessibility to preferred Kyoto destinations including Nishiki Market, the historical Gion and Higashiyama districts, and retail offerings in the Shijo Kawaramachi area.

Hilton is partnering with Heiwa Realty Co to establish Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The 108-key hotel will start in 2029.

Hilton is going to handle the property for Heiwa. The Japanese developer and realty company manages a portfolio of business and residential properties in Japan, including the stock exchange buildings in towns such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

“Motto by Hilton Kyoto Shijo Karasuma will give a fresh, nearby embeded hospitality experience that motivates meeting, producing a new kind of visit for guests aiming to submerse themselves in Japan’s cultural capital,” stated Alex Shockley, Hilton’ top director, lifestyle and collection labels for Asia Pacific.

“As component of our attempts to realise our long-term vision, WAY2040, we are expanding our hotel service as a brand-new location of development,” stated Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto, the business’s representative director, president and CEO.
